Overview
Welcome to the STARTright LLC Learning Center. STARTright is committed to providing a large amount of accurate and understandable information about the Limited Liability Company (LLC) and related topics. The intent of the Learning Center is to provide a central place where any one may read about (and sometimes watch videos on) many LLC topics. We will always be adding new content and updating the old content as quickly as time allows. The following are good places to start when first considering the LLC.- An Overview of the LLC (LLC Basics)
- How To Form An LLC
- LLC Myths
- An Overview For Starting A Business

How This Center Works
The LLC Learning center is a wiki based application intended to compile a large amount of LLC content in one easy to access and navigate place.Feel Free To Read: The wiki is open to the general public. The main concept behind STARTright is that information should be free and easy to access. When you become a member of STARTright, you are essentially paying for the specialized tools that make setting up and maintaining an LLC easy. But, the information is always free. (If you were actually planning on relying on our site's information as legal advice, please read the disclaimer below.)
Navigating: As you may have already noticed, the left column contains categories with links under each of those categories. This is the index, and your way of getting around the LLC Learning Center. As the learning center grows, we may not always be able to list all the topics covered. At that point, you may need to use the search function below which is specific to the wiki, or the site search function on the main site bar at the top.
Leaving Comments: By leaving comments, STARTrightllc.com members can ask the STARTright Legal Editor to address various topics that may not yet be covered. STARTright users can also help to keep the Legal Editors up to date on changes in the Law that STARTright may not have seen yet. To comment, just log in to your STARTright account, and come back to the LLC Learning Center. You can go to any page and click on the [Add comment] link under the main page box. Feel free to leave a comment on anything you have a question about. Though the editors may not immediately address the question, if you sign the comment with your STARTright username, we will notify you when the change is made. Alternatively, anyone can click on the RSS feed link below (Organge square with sound waves) to be notified by rss feed when a particular page is updated.
Becoming An Editor: We have some STARTright members who have decided to get involved and use this wiki as a place to share what they have learned. If you are already a STARTright member, or are a legal professional or CPA and would like to become a STARTright editor, don't hesitate to contact STARTright Legal Editors to apply. There isn't much of an application process, it is more a getting to know you interview so we know who is improving our site.
Disclaimer
As always, it is important to understand that the opinions and information found in the STARTright Learning Center and throughout the website may be helpful and useful, but they do not constitute legal advice nor should they be relied on as such. If you need an attorney because the situation is not looking good, quit delaying the inevitable and fork over the money and get a good attorney. If you are just getting started with an LLC or new business, then take the time to read through the STARTright material so that you begin to understand how the LLC is formed, operates, and protects you. Once you have a basic understanding, then you can make a better decision as to whether you need an attorney. In any case, this website (it is hilarious to us that we have to say this) is not an attorney — does not constitute a legal relationship with us (you are reading our wiki and we have never met you) — and should not be relied on as legal counsel.
